Opened in May 1969 on the edge of the Ndawe escarpment, with the restaurant built out over a floodlit waterhole so the evening game viewing happens while you eat. It is state-owned like Voi Safari Lodge, unfussy, and the escarpment setting is the best of any lodge in Tsavo West.
